Hepatitis diagnostic laboratory

The Hepatitis Diagnostic Laboratory consists of the Hepatitis Serology Laboratory and the Hepatitis Virus Characterisation Laboratory.

The aim of the laboratory is to provide a comprehensive diagnostic service for hepatitis A, B, C, D and E viruses.

The Hepatitis Characterisation Laboratory is located within the Research and Development Laboratory and undertakes a diverse range of research projects in addition to diagnostic work.
