This unit is staffed by a small team of dedicated people whose
main responsibility is to ensure that all specimens received at
VIDRL are properly checked and distributed. Staff from the unit
also ensure that patient identifying data, test requests, clinical
data and billing information are logged onto the VIDRL Medipath
Laboratory Computer System. The unit also provides the first port
of call for VIDRL's external customers.
The unit is happy to organise courier services and provide consumable
products, in line with HIC regulation for VIDRL's private medical
clinics, and would be very happy to extend these services to new
clients wishing to direct their work to VIDRL.
