WHO international programs
VIDRL has had an association with the World Health Organisation (WHO) dating from 1965 with the designation of Australia’s first WHO Collaborating Centre, then known as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Virus Reference and Research.
Over the years, VIDRL has continued to maintain a strong relationship with the WHO and has held National Centre, Collaborating Centre, and Regional Reference Laboratory designations.
VIDRL’s current WHO international reference laboratory programs and designations include:
